Startups in the 6ix is a one-of-a-kind event looking at how innovative new startup technologies fit against the backdrop of the greater health system we have in Ontario. We will be featuring health tech companies in Toronto as well as top health system leaders. We will explore how the Toronto healthcare ecosystem inspires connection between renowned health service providers and startups.
Our panel will include Dr. Sacha Bhatia, Chief Medical Innovation Officer of Women's College Hospital, and Gail Garland, founder and CEO of the Ontario Bioscience Innovation Organization, and will be moderated by Padraic Foley, Director of Business Development and Commercialization, Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE). Discussion will be focused on the barriers to integration across the system and how to bridge the gap between private sector innovation and the public healthcare system.
