CHAIR

Kirsten Creber

Kirsten is a Senior Consultant in the Strategy and Operations, Health Transformation practice at Deloitte. She has experience working with various clients across the healthcare continuum including Ministries, provincial health agencies, regional programs, local health integration networks, academic health science centres and community hospitalsl In her role, Kirsten has worked on a variety of projects including strategic planning, operational reviews, program evaluations and hospital information system planning and implementations.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Kirsten had several roles in the healthcare industry including positions at Mount Sinai Hospital in Corporate and Strategic Projects and at Cancer Care Ontario in Planning and Regional programs.

Lydia Sequeira

Lydia is a PhD candidate in Health Informatics Research at the University of Toronto, affiliated with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She is passionate about evidence informed decision making, and is currently researching how to improve clinical risk assessment around suicidal behaviour. Prior to returning to school, she worked in clinical information system design and implementation at CAMH and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Lydia is committed to building a stronger healthcare community by acting as a catalyst to connect young professionals with each other and inspirational stakeholders within our industry.

Melanie Selvadurai

Driven by insatiable curiosity, Melanie leverages conceptual creativity, multidisciplinary expertise, and academic rigor to identify resonant cyber security opportunities in the Canadian health system. She has nearly 4 years experience providing strategic leadership for world-renowned health systems in Canada, the US, and Germany. Before joining Deloitte cyber risk services, Melanie combined consultancy with academia, and pursued opportunities within HIMSS Washington DC in government relations and Canada-US cross border health IT initiatives to support HIMSS international strategy.

Zayn has always been driven by innovative solutions to make large scale impacts. He has carried this out as a molecular biologist, where he created a patent-pending vaccine, by co-founding a non-profit dedicated to space advocacy, and now by working in the food industry. He has a fascination with the intersection of health and technology. He works to live up to his mission statement - to bring products/services to market that make people’s lives better.

Kyle Gervais

Kyle is a Clinical Supervisor at Medigas, the healthcare division of Praxair Canada Inc. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, his clinical experience has been gained from the acute care and homecare sectors of the healthcare market. He has been integral to strategic planning, clinical compliance, process and operational reviews. In addition to his role with Medigas, Kyle maintains his clinical skills in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

He has supported and lead engagements in the US and Canada, with clients ranging from Non-profit hospitals to major multinational pharmaceutical companies. Passionate about healthcare delivery, Umar has worked on engagements improving hospital operations, defining forward-thinking strategy and implementing tools to optimize staff performance.

Umar is a career consultant and has experience working in small, mid-size and large consulting firms. When he isn’t working, Umar can be found travelling with friends and family, or glued in front of a TV rooting for the New England Patriots.
