Lydia Sequeira

Lydia is a PhD candidate in Health Informatics Research at the University of Toronto, affiliated with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She is passionate about evidence informed decision making, and is currently researching how to improve clinical risk assessment around suicidal behaviour. Prior to returning to school, she worked in clinical information system design and implementation at CAMH and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Lydia is committed to building a stronger healthcare community by acting as a catalyst to connect young professionals with each other and inspirational stakeholders within our industry.

Umar Shaikh

Umar is a Senior Consultant in EY’s National Healthcare Practice. He has supported and lead engagements in the US and Canada, with clients ranging from Non-profit hospitals to major multinational pharmaceutical companies. Passionate about healthcare delivery, Umar has worked on engagements improving hospital operations, defining forward-thinking strategy and implementing tools to optimize staff performance.

Umar is a career consultant and has experience working in small, mid-size and large consulting firms. When he isn’t working, Umar can be found travelling with friends and family, or glued in front of a TV rooting for the New England Patriots.

Annie Jiwan

Annie is passionate about innovation in healthcare and has worked with several organizations to create implementable initiatives, programs, and policies that build a better healthcare system.  

 Currently, Annie is a Project Manager at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). In this role, she leads the operations of a medical education program aimed at improving healthcare outcomes, from program inception to delivery. Prior to this, Annie worked as a management consultant in the healthcare and not-for-profit space, and has worked on several projects including strategic planning, organizational reviews and program evaluations.

When she isn’t working, Annie can be found testing out new recipes in culinary school at George Brown College.

ELF is seeking a social media and content lead to maintain and grow our organization's social networks. As a social media and content lead, you will update our social networks, create and curate content to gain new followers, and keep our website up-to-date. Its an incredible opportunity to drive impactful connections between emerging and top-tier transformational leaders within our health system.

Your core role…

Develop and implement social media brand strategies, campaigns, and plans to build organization awareness

  • Create, maintain, and grow new and existing social networks including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and others

  • Manage and create content for our blog, and maintain our website

  • Create, or help team with, visual templates for posters, emails, and other media campaigns

  • Monitor and take lead on external communications, including through social media, the ELF email, form submissions, and others

Expected commitment

8 hrs/ month
(3 hour/in-person meeting once a month, 4 hours/virtual meetings)
